Cutting Solutions

Upgrade your machine’s cutting system to dramatically extend its lifespan.

Prolong The Lifespan Of Machines

Specialising In A-PET Cutters

It isn’t uncommon for customs to experience cutting issues when they are moved over to A-PET or Mono PET recyclable films. For this reason, we offer reliable solutions to resolve any problems and ensure maximum machine efficiency.

We provide a strip punch which fits into your existing machine and is *guaranteed for a minimum of 4 million cuts. In fact, our first cutters have now completed over 12 million cutters without the need for a regrind! Also available are solutions for longitudinal cutters, dramatically reducing the number of blade changes required.

Reliable, Robust & Long-Lasting

What Is A-PET?

A-PET, otherwise known as amorphous polyethylene terephthalate, is a type of thermal plastic which falls under the polyester product category. It is an incredibly reliable and robust material which is most commonly used for items such as water and fizzy drink bottles, as well as household objects, including food jars.

What Are The Benefits Of A-PET?

One of the most significant benefits of using A-PET is that the material is fully recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly option. Once recycled, the material takes the form of RPET and, instead of the products previously mentioned, is used for items such as blankets, car parts and insulation.

The cutters available at O’Leary Engineering are designed to be used on all materials, including PVC, paper-based webs, A-PET and Mono P-PET. If you are experiencing any cutter issues, our team of engineers are always more than happy to advise you on the best route.

When Is A-PET Used?

A-PET is one of the most common materials to be paired with thermoforming machines as it is both transparent and versatile, making it ideal for commercial packaging. It also does not attract or transfer chemicals, making it a popular choice amongst those in the food and drink industry.
